On the phones I had at least one time where I didn’t get one. Probably many.
Yes, it is possible. I would think if it happens that the person has had 1 on 1's with their manager and know they are under-performing.
A team member of mine a very difficult to work with Principal SWE got $0 December bonus once year as he was completely insubordinate and out of line so I have to say he earned it but of course would not own it once it went down.
If you are rated an “I” you get 50% or below.
I had a co-worker that did not get a bonus for 2 yrs (CSM role). They had top 2 box on client sats. The manager did not have 1:1’s and never gave a straight answer why a bonus was not given. They moved to an hourly role and made more money with overtime that they didn’t get when salary. Otherwise, I’ve only heard as low as 85%.
