Time tracking

So if they’re going to track when employees log in and out for the day with the newest micro-managing tracking platform, why don’t they just log hours for them!? I mean, if you don’t trust employees, at least save them the hassle of logging in to enter hours 4 times a day when they already barely have time to break away from this ridiculous workload… not to mention us managers don’t have the damn capacity to question our team about hours 24/7! Their reasoning is reasonable and makes sense (when they can even remember what they did a month ago)! JUST STOP! We are getting the work done- quit with the insanity tracking and fluffy emails!

Dear Mgmt, You cant account for every single minute. How many times do we lock our computers to let out someone from the safe deposit box vault THEN go to lunch? Or when we log off for breaks only to have customer acost us with a issue? Or log off to assist customer at the ATM? There are so many other situations where front facing employees must log off to assist customers. Get a glue folks. If you want i can go back to my station EVERYTIME i need to re-set my time as well as document for any potential discrepancies in time you might accuse me of. We have cameras watching our every move. Why dont you use cameras to account for our time? Cue malicious compliance.

We have been informed they will be reviewing the report for our lunches as well down to the minute. They will be tracking this by when we lock our screen, followed with the comment that they know when our computer is idle. We are already in the office 5 days a week, we are the only group in the building I believe that has to be in 5 day a week. Now it is back to no cell phones out, no ear buds, don't congregate and laugh etc type of environment as well. Look like you are super busy even if you are not, and now the time keeping (which I know is the right thing) to the minute. We have just been used to putting our lunch time as whenever not to the minute. We all have laptops but if you are feeling ill you cannot work from home you must use your sick time etc. I know other people are hybrid and if they are not feeling well but can still work they just let them work from home. I just wish it was consistent across the company. Why give us laptops if we are not allowed to use the flexibility. Don't know how the water cooler chats can happen when you feel like you are constantly being watched and observed. Oh and the team meetings are all on zoom even though we are all on the same floor. All of this after doing so well working from home. Good times. Vent over.

VPN reports are already being pulled to see who's working from home when they should be in office.

It’s a random pull. We were supposed to get the reports every week, but it’s been months since we got one.

So for people that have to get out their laptop and out it a docking station which is work are they just going to count once we hit control alt delete and log in not the two min of takes for your computer to start then? I can see how there will be discrepancies

Yes.. a new platform that managers receive a link to essentially double-check employee hours submitted. They note when their workstation was signed in vs the time they enter in workday. It’s a pain.. and weeks delayed, so employees have no idea why there’s a discrepancy.. very time consuming and flat out stupid.
