A friend dm’d me this - does anyone have a link? I find this hard to believe. But given all the debt, inflation, and competition from TMO i suppose a worst case scenario is VZ has trouble servicing its debt, can’t pay the dividend and then ends up in bankruptcy to sell off assets to pay creditors.

The overseas mentality, as to the current CEO and current Chairman, has damaged this corporation beyond repair. The overseas, corporate culture, pro labor, socialistic practices, and last but not least, the inability to adapt to a (67%+) consumer driven US economy. Not to forget, the need to have impeccable corporate ethics for a top 30 Dow Jones company, as the shades of the corporate scandal at the previous Swedish employer.

Thank you for your post. I’ve been around over 20 plus years and couldn’t agree with you more. Hans has ruined this company.
I've seen many forums where people have canceled their service or refused to purchase from a company due to that company's position on social and political issues.
This country is divided hard right down the middle. Both sides are stubborn and dug in. Why would Verizon get involved with losing any or potentially half of its business by publically taking a side?
If I'm a CEO I'm keeping my shut, minding my own business, and taking both sides' money.
My employees and stockholders will thank me.

I've spent almost 30 in this company starting with NYNEX and all through those years I've never seen this company get involved with outside issues. The World could be coming to an end, and this company put its head down and stuck to its business.
With this Hans, we've been involved in every single social, political, and justice issue in this country that has come along since 2017, and now even outside this country supporting countries in their wars.
There is a saying going around...you may have heard it already ....Go Woke Go Broke....If this company would focus on its competition, focus on its market, focus on its development, and mind its own business outside its business....Maybe we would be a better communications company today.
VZ closed at 41.81 today. After hours it dropped to 41.72.

Which analyst's target? Moffet downgraded us to underperform but didn't see the price target.
There's no question Verizon is facing it's toughest time since wireless become the focus.
