Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Another Fiserv office is closing 11/4/2022

The CCO Call Center in Hickory, NC will be closing on 11/4/2022. CCO associates will be allowed to WFH, unless they support Bank of America. These associates will be required to train in another line of business and WFH or relocate to Coral Springs, FL or Marietta, GA, which most will NOT do.

I'm so glad they closed in Hickory NC. That was a toxic place to work, and Crystal Duckworth Barrier was the worst person I've ever worked for

Rumors persist the Marietta. GA office will also close. No firm date yet. Everyone in the office is talking about it.

Relocation most likely isn't the main idea- the Hickory office has about 150 Card Care associates, every single one is remote and has been remote since Dec 2021. The scarce biller associates have been remote since Jul 2020.

The site needs to close, it's a waste of money and space for a giant building to stay open for 20 Bank of America associates to take calls.

Also, I have insight details to 100% know that any class that Facilitators will be hiring will be %100 remote, unless it's bank of America. So, in general, the Company is looking to expand on the remote possibilities. CS and Marietta do not know Bank of America, but the Hickory Facilitators are going to travel to train and teach a first wave of classes there, and facilitators will continue to teach incoming classes of Bank of America ONLY.

Hickory is phasing out, as it should, and nobody will be forced to relocate. It's just not in the books with the business plan that it's appearing to be.

Yeah, WFH, that’s what they told the people on the West Coast and FL before requiring th move to NJ. It’s just a matter of time.

There isn't an office in coral gables and yes the office is in Coral Springs. It is a frat office where the associates care and take pride in what they do! It shows how much some who come here know...confusing coral gables with Coral Springs - pathetic!

Facts -

  1. Yes hickory closing - all associates offered jobs.
  2. For those on client work that require "in office" they will be offered relo and yes the company offers relo.
  3. If they don't want to relo they will be offered a wfh contact center job.

This means not one person will not have a job.

I read in a previous post, Coral Gables office would also be closing in the future. If so, why relocate to CG if that office will close.

Do not count on the WFH to be anything more than temporary.
Unless the C-level mindset changes, Fiserv is an in office company.

I remember when they first opened Hickory. That's when they closed the Aurora, IL call center and moved all that service to Hickory. All in the name of cheaper labor. You can hire workers in North Carolina a lot cheaper than in a Chicago suburb like Aurora, that's for sure.

Not sure if they are paying relo to Coral/Marietta as I am not at that location. Personally, I would not relocate to Coral Springs, FL. Heck, I'd take a package and go to work for a smaller company that cares.

Hey what fun! Paying the rental difference between Hickory NC and Coral Springs or Marietta. Certainly not a burden at all. Is fiserv covering relocation like the migration to Berkeley heights?

By the time you move to Coral Springs everything around us will have been FUBAR already ...
