@7hdc+1iukDAF0 That’s a ridiculously self centred comment.

A company the size of Honeywell having to furlough staff to make the numbers look good is embarrassing.

There’s nothing wrong with furloughs to preserve workforce levels in anticipation of future work. It makes sense. If your finances are so tight that it’s a burden then you need to fix that.

Ah, Yes! An actual week off without any one calling me, no email, no teams. I'll gladly take a week off with no pay for that peace and quiet a couple times a quarter.

Confirmed that SPS is laying off, it affected me. My friends who survived told me they then announced furloughs. This is for SPS in PA and OH.

US Aero, CLW - being asked for at least 46 hrs RevCOGS per week through EOM.

yeah Europe gets pressured to 'volunteer' but not in all countries as it's not legal in some.
So some parts of a team will take a hit if they are scared enough about their jobs - it actually makes no difference as last time some of the people were riffed anyway after they'd 'volunteered'

Meanwhile aero is offering $10k signing bonus.
Don’t expect a rif package when jobs are available elsewhere in company.

Great leak, message came out today on SPS Q3 and Q4 furloughs for US employees. Europe will be asked to volunteer for unpaid work. Other regions not impacted. Almost certain other SBG's (excluding AERO) will follow suit

Everyone on this site comments as if we all work in the same building. lol, so unspecific. You guys know there are like 100k employees right? Vague messages like this are pointless. Country, SBG? Anything? I mean, don't dox yourself... but come on.

Time to accelerate an executive retention bonus to maintain a steady focus in these uncertain times. Look at the P & L and reduce indirect labor headcount in NA and EU and reallocate to pay out in year-end bonus. Need stable leadership, INDEED!

Furloughs would be okay if I had been able to take any vacation this year. Or last year for that matter. If I get furloughed this year, I may just charge to vacation and see what the bstrds do.

Yep, furloughs are coming and this just the beginning. SPS is crumbling, there is no future here, wake up!

Aero isn't the only business unit. Other units are laying off and it wouldn't surprise me if select groups in aero get hit. As for furloughs, pushing OT the last time did not stop the furloughs. Which, BTW, I really like since I cannot legally touch my computer. But I'm blessed that the lost of some wages does not impact.
Of course, years ago I started an emergency fund to over such situations.
I just gave up Starbucks and happy hours (well, some happy hours).

Just pay attention to the last DA talk. SPS is underperforming with the loss of Scamazon and others. It is only going to get worse and Hineywell is going to continue to lose employees and customers. Downward slope?

You lucky ba----ds! Quite the little executive's pet, are we? Oh what wouldn't I give to be furloughed! I sometimes hang awake at night dreaming of being furloughed. They must think the sun shines out of your a-s, sonny!

Best thing Honeywell ever did for us. Oh yeah, if we didn't have furloughs, this company'd be in a right bloody mess. LAY'EM OFF, I SAY!!! LAY SOME SENSE INTO 'EM!!!

Now take my case. They hung me up here five years ago. Every night they take me down for 20 minutes, then they hang me up again (which I regard as very fair in view of what I've done). And if nothing else, it's taught me to respect Honeywell. And it's taught me, that you'll never get anywhere in this life, unless you're prepared to do a fair day's work for a fair day's pay!!!

...Terrific company, Honeywell. Terrific!
