There are NO redeeming qualities to Wells Fargo. Nothing good comes out of Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo is terrible to it’s employees, terrible to it’s customers, terrible for American workers, and has not fulfilled it’s fiduciary responsibilities to it’s shareholders. Something is wrong that we can’t dig our way out from under the largest Federal Asset Cap ever imposed in history.
I have stayed because of my coworkers and a great boss (who is struggling himself), but it is time to get out. Every day spent here is taking away from your future best life. (I ended up here via an excellent employer who was unfortunately acquired by WCHV, then WFC.)
Narcissistic self-serving CEOs, incompetent self-serving BOD, greed resulting in never-ending fraud and high- dollar fines, stack- ranking employees, employees treated as liabilities rather than assets, non-transparent leadership, now constant threat of layoffs, firing Whistleblowers, toxic every-man-for-himself culture, understaffed departments who refuse OT, dilapidated technology, smoke and mirror bs policies (sign on the dotted line that you are following said policy, but in reality look the other way and boost profits), all around disrespect and disdain for the employees, offshoring of AMERICAN jobs.
Alternatively, I have a sister who works for a local business. She is happy, respected, paid a very generous salary and gets unheard-of raises. Her boss goes out of her way every day to remind her that she wants to keep her happy so she stays. She talks about her plans for my sister’s growth at the company. Small thing- but we have family in town, and her boss called the restaurant to pick up our tab for dinner the other night. Great boss, great company. Result is that my sister bends over backwards to make her boss’s life better and it is a mutually beneficial relationship where everyone prospers, including their many loyal customers.
Let’s re-evaluate our decision to stay here. It might be easier to not tackle the change, but your life consists of only so many hours. This company will suck the life right out of you vs working at a company which gives you energy and excitement about the future. We all deserve infinitely better than we are getting here. Don’t fall asleep at the wheel and let life pass you by.
