I ready this story and it is my life at AT&T for the last 3 years. I should have written a book. I am 2 years short of my 75 points and then moving south of the border where I live nicely for $2k a month . I am not proud of it but just getting by at T, below the radar, not making waves every day has been good for my mental health. You may not like it but it is the new normal

I used to put in 100%. Then they redid the salary bands and I'm below average in salary. What a waste of effort all those years.
Now they are getting the output of someone below the midpoint and in the messed up AT&T salary system, being below will get me a bigger raise.
Nothing wrong with just doing your job. Only suckers go the extra mile without reward. Kudos for living a happy life and taking care of yourself.
AT&T has poor workers. Amazing that it is able to generate so much revenue.
That just speaks volumes about the poor quality in leadership! Mediocrity is great in their eyes which is why T is in the shape it’s in, abysmal!
I don’t blame you. I’m 2 years away from 75 and do the bare minimum to get by.best part is I’m constantly being told what a great job I’m doing. Not sure what that says about the people who think they’re putting in the 100%.
