New Hires … Pay Attention

Nothing tells you more about Honeywell than the help line for hurricane assistance to Florida being open from 9AM to 6PM Philippines Standard Time. Send an email if that isn’t convenient.

No that isn’t convenient. Lockheed has a tent in the parking lot for employees and a truck full of generators to borrow. On DAY one.

Honeywell sent an email saying get back to work.

Good ol' HON was looking out for its folks in Puerto Rico... they loaded up the 757 flying test bed with water, flashlights, batteries and more to distribute to the employees clobbered by Hurricane Maria in 2017. Noble and humanitarian, right? Except for making the recipients of this "help" sign a paper that they would have $ deducted from their paychecks to cover the cost.

@rvc+1j0pmRkE,

“For us in the US, just shut up and get back to work.”

Uh, Puerto Rico IS in the US.

Honeywell continues to surprise every day. Just when you think they can not possibly sink any lower they exceed expectations once again.

They are looking at a storm surcharge on employees like a fat tax and smoking tax. They say the storm is costing them more and must be shared by employees.

Just wow!

“Honeywell Values Employees”

By which they mean every employee has a revenue number. Pull your weight or you are gone.

I remember when Puerto Rico got hit a few years ago. Honeywell was sending the corporate planes full of generators and water down there. And or course, patting themselves on the back through the media for doing so.

For us in the US, just shut up and get back to work.

You are required to work all scheduled hours during hurricane Ian.

If you find yourself in a life-threatening emergency, please dial the hurricane assistance hotline, but only during regular business hours 9AM - 6PM (PHT Phillipines Standard Time).

Failure to work during scheduled hours and fulfill 20% EEI requirements will result in disciplinary action including but not limited to PIP and termination.

Thank you. Honeywell values its employees and we look forward to seeing you in office, fulfilling our metrics and deadlines during these difficult times (for you).

It's because id--ts are in charge. Simple as that! They're not thinking about money; they're not thinking at all. Large corporations can hide a lot of stupidity and problems because they have money to hide it. Imagine if this were a small company. You'd never see sh*t like this happening.
