Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Layoffs and PIPs

Honeywell leadership is a two-trick pony. All they know are layoffs and PIPs. Profits are down? Layoffs. Severances are too expensive? PIPs. Shareholders are restless? Layoffs and PIPs. Rinse and repeat. Considering that stock is at its 52-week low right now, guess what we can expect in the near future?

PIP? Its more of a musical chair event rather than a development tool that our cunning HR peeps likes to call it. The consequences could be either we leave a long time employee unmotivated and because he/she is unable to leave his/her current job or we keep sacrificing young members hoping that they make the numbers so that less explaining is done to long time employees. Its a stupid system that has been abolished by many other companies. Even GE that started this whole thing has abandoned it. Honeywell still relies on it for better differentiation as it claims it should. Yeah, right. I do hope that a sensible leader does bring this up and challenges such stupid notions with the Karens that is trying hard to keep it

SILENCE!!! Enough of you ingrates.....no eye contact with Executives. Do you even know how hard it is to cross your arms for annual "head-shots? Or how about changing the plan every month do to missed revenue targets? Changing metrics to show improvement? Looking at a workflow with huge holes in headcount to reasonably meet any bonus plan?

I didn't think so. Now time to book my flight for the January Leaders resort meeting....maybe I'll get a table with DA. So grateful to offer more Pips to HR for the Q1 23 restructuring headwinds target.
