I am quite disappointed because the word quality in this company doesn't mean anything anymore. I can't even remember when it became so irrelevant here!? It's a shame that it happened though. This could have been a much better workplace.

Its a SBC issue- cost control over quality
In the Ameritech region the date was January 2nd of 2000 when SBC took over. Quality became a bad word and over time it became punishable by using the current deranged form of PIP.

I work at Dallas Riverside. Do I care? NO Do I give a C.hit? NO Do I work hard? NO Why?
Because I don't care. This place is WoW in action. T is just a place to go chase skirts, sniff some strange, get a little side trim, surf the internet, take breaks, eat downtown and get paid to say - Yes, sir boss - may I have another.
Quality became irrelevant in the late 90's with the influx of new hires.
"Managers" were promoted who had no idea how to do anything except read metrics.
It became worse after GPS.
For every one tech working, there were 5 other employees making sure they were.
And the new folks took little pride in their work.
Then they trained the other new folks, while us quality driven techs retired.
Meh...I got mine.
Someone fooled them into thinking a numbers game equated productivity
