Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

How many remote?

How many remote ppl do you have on your immediate team. We have 2 and just curious how common it is. (I am not complaining, just simply curious. Kudos to them for doing what they need)

I love this but also hate that we feel like we have to do this, so inefficient. People on my team are doing this too just to avoid having to go into the office 3 days every week:

‘Was fully remote for years PRE-COVID, now I go in 2 and waste a PTO day every week. A few in my group are still WFH, but not many. FRTO, I despise it with every fiber of my being. Everyone that came up with it and enforce it should be fired.’

How are your managers requesting for it? What do they need to go through? When RTO started, my manager and I worked together on the rationale to get me an exception and it got declined! I was wfh for years prior to Covid, so it's BS!

Our entire team of almost 20 people is remote. Our manager requested exception to RTO and got it. Thank god for good managers. They are few and far between at WF.

The inconsistencies have real impacts on our daily lives. My quality of life is so much better because of my mgr. I get more work done, more efficiently, at home. And I'm a happier, more productive employee.

Wish companies would admit RTO is really about commercial real estate and related loans/leases and profits. Be honest and employees will respect you more.

Entire team is 3/2 hybrid. No one on the team is clamoring for full time remote.

I'm remote, but my office of record is at a hub that's on the other side of the state.

Manager set it up that way so I wouldn't show up on some report as being "remote".

If they start looking at badge swipes, I don't know what will happen. My official office is so far away that it wouldn't be possible for me to go there and back in the same day.

3 of 6 of my group have pending ADAs. Out of the three of us that go in, one of us is going to be going out on stress leave, leaving two of us to “collaborate”. Our manager locks herself away in an empty conference room on the days she bothers to show up.. which isn’t the standard 3. We’re literally the joke of Auto Finances quality monitoring program.

On my team no one is remote anymore. My spineless manager insists we all drive there to literally do the same thing we just did from home… I think it makes her feel needed. IMO—if you want to feel needed so badly, consider finding a romantic relationship or maybe try having children? This isn’t the way baby girl…

4 of 6 are remote. 2 of us are in non-hub locations. 2 in CL-T.

4/25ish. They were hired on during Covid in non-hubs for my group and then got re-orged in my group, but now qualify to not go in due to distance exception. Pretty sure they will never be promoted though as my leadership does care about face time.

Our entire team of 50+ are remote. We were before COVID, manager requested exception to RTO for entire team, so we're allowed to continue WFH. Only spineless mgrs have teams reqd. to RTO.

Responding to myself... I meant RTO. I'm going on PTO tomorrow so that is on my brain.

100% is fully remote. We were given exceptions to PTO since we were fully remote for over a decade before COVID.

3 fully remote out of 16. They are in different states than main group.
