Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Third quarter earnings report is next week

The results will be announced next Friday. I'm sure Charlie will find a way to twist the numbers - whether they turn out to be good or bad - to justify more layoffs as soon as possible. It wouldn't be the first time and it won't be the last time he did something like that.

On the plus side they won't need to use the report to justify another year of 0% profit sharing. It's been completely decoupled from company performance if you look at profits / EPS and other metrics over time vs the profit sharing % we get, so whether it's record profits or no profits it's "justification" of more 0%s.

Chuckster the Huckster was hired to do some house cleaning. We have to expect layoffs t along with all of his other baggage he brought from his past. Life today at WF.

This earnings report won't be to justify layoffs.

It will be to justify weak pay raises and small bonuses. It is the last quarter report as we head into reviews and raise discussion.
