Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

T got ripped off!

I can kinda understand a company, any company, getting a ringer for CEO. But how can you explain at&t getting two, back to back ringers as CEO?
The odd' s of that happening is off the charts. The equity these two id--ts have lost during their tenure is also off the charts.
Yet at every turn, through all the failed acquisitions, along with other failures, the BOD have been standing by with millions in cash bonuses to reward them. It's enough to make you sick.
When, if ever, will the BOD wake up and cast these two b-ms (losers) off? Neither one has any business being a first level manager, let alone CEO.
What will it take to get them out? Single digit share price?
I hope so, we are getting close.

The people who own the shares of the mutual funds and ETFs need to do the actual voting and not some representative from say Blackrock. That gives them control using other peoples money.

Whitacre bought all those class V boat anchors. Why not pack them up now and give to 3rd world countries? They have become a real hot tater!

Stankey is refocusing the company and he will turn the company around. Get rid of the malcontents and AT&T will flourish.

Whoever is next will be just as terrible. We all know they’ll just put another schmuck in there just like him.

Big Ed was no prize. Id--t collected hundreds of millions buying ancient class 5 telco while the rest of us knew VOIP was the future. Then came Project Pronto. Ed is good at taking credit and failed ventures are "market forces beyond his control".
SBC & the new At&t have not had leadership since the 1970's.

When Stank was out in place it was because of the media and telco experience. No ceo out there had that experience. Then the media business is sold, so why are we still dealing with Stank.
It’s all about the bod doing what the big shareholders want and in turn the ceo then doing what the bod wants. Everyone is cya and they keep collecting massive checks. Of course somewhere in the mix they have to make company decisions, but that’s secondary responsibilities.

Yes, I agree, neither was CEO qualified. Both were losers, not capable of running a sidewalk lemonade stand at a profit. It just goes to show that in America, you can do or be anything!

Please. Let’s not disrespect T’s illustrious post divestiture geniuses. Charlie Brown, Jimmy Olson, Bob Allen/John Walter, C. Michael, Dave Dorman. Untold billions squandered by incompetent empire builders.

$150 Billion in debt and $100 Billion lost in shareholder value. The Board of Directors will hand out over $400 million to these two!!

Executive positions at corporations are relationship based and certainly not performance based. It's not sports.

These guys can't fail.
