Headcount in LCS

I don't understand why there such overstaffing of supposed "business" people in LCS.
Most are not competent in the areas they are responsible for nor it seemed necessary. It seems like it's a hiding place for deadweights.

It is more important retain people with technical and operational skills because hydrocarbon fuel production is not going away soon. Someone has to keep the lights on and keep the plants operating safely.

LCS is a cost center dependent on government handouts of money stolen from taxpayers. Is this the future business model of success?

If any LCS team member’s accomplishments include the words “study” or “PowerPoint”, subtract 50 RG points.

Maybe more because LCS personnel start off with more than 80.

Deadweight is a kind way to describe your Cousins, and the other geos that are doubling as lobbyists and green washers.
LCS is a scam, populated by scam artists, pretending to pretend.
The only solutions that are coming out are tall tales.

I work in global projects. I agree that GP is a total sh-t show. Many folks are being moved from GP to LCS, they are the yes people that are now the valued behaviour, people are being moved from GP because you must guess thar GP will be cut to little more than BTC and a handful of advisors and contractor oversight.

In all aspects, it's the tail wagging the dog.

I haven’t met a Global Projects person yet that is capable of running a project from a commercial perspective that isn’t 100% EMOP. Throw in one external party, and the entire project will be at risk without a “business” person (think: Commercial) running the show, or at least co-leading it. GP engineer are a dime a dozen; the rare talent of being able to communicate with someone outside of EM has been recognized, and you’re seeing this recognized in the way LCS is being staffed.

With performance assessments now being based on accomplishments during the review cycle, there is no legitimate way to rank any LCS staff above “Good”.

They have accomplished nothing more than PowerPoint Slides.

They have contributed nothing to EM’s bottom line.

The people getting real work done, troubleshooting, miracle working, and working overtime to earn EM extra billion$ should get all the “accomplishment” RG points until LCS turns a significant profit.

I suspect all those HyPos on LCS will be protected and fill the top of every assessment list. All of us earning EM billion$ will have to fight for crumbs.
