Is this job safe? I hope it's for Garden City since the interview was for Long Island. I'm kind of scared I'll get put in this Valhalla office from all these comments on here.

I used to be in Valhalla and that place made me question my sanity. It’s like stepping back a few decades in time. The things that are done in that office don’t fly anywhere else. Go with Garden City if you have the choice.

A person's color shouldn't matter. Just hire the best, it's getting very hard to find any new employees, POC or not. It will get worse before it gets better, if ever.

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it here again. My former TL is Dominican and told me he would never hire ‘white folks’. Just because I’m black doesn’t mean I hate them. This made me feel uncomfortable and unhappy going into my office. But working from home has made this much easier to deal with
You don't have to be a POC to join Verizon, but it helps!
Is race talk normalized in these offices? This doesn’t seem like social equity but racial superiority and that doesn’t bode well with me. Do you really need to be a person of color to make it in an office?

Yes this job is very safe. You are gonna love it here. We all have a great time, day in and day out. I hope you come to Garden City, we know how to live it up. But in the end it doesn't matter where you are based. You can move from office to office as employees transfer out.

Welcome aboard! We need more people like you to join VZ. Doesn't matter where you get assigned. We go and do as we please throughout the day. This is a great cradle to grave job that I think you will enjoy. Remember rule #1 Always have a good time, it's the most important thing.
