I'm still throwing loads, although not as many, and I write orders all day long too.

Yes, we are not fully staffed yet, but, I truly believe their goal is to get us fully staffed to where all I do is "selling" all day, and then they will either fire me for some made up BS, or hopefully they will send me packing, and give me a severance.

It's sad to me that some people cannot see the red flags, the changes, the blatantly obvious things happening that point to at the very least sales reps going away, and the possibility of the company going warehouse.

Corporate America has NO conscience!

The writing is on the wall! "Picking up slack", no thanks! Bare minimum as well. Not one second more than required time in the field, and NO exception.
I'll let them fire me, unemployment is way better than any severance.

You mean sales reps are training the merchandisers to do the reps job, so the company can then get rid of the reps?

I agree

The way it was said to me was we as reps would be an area manager. We are to sell in new displays mainly as our new focus. We will still write very few orders and solely focus on selling. Also work an d train the merchandising to do a better job. I agree reps are being phased out I would imagine in mission 2 or 3.

Well, if YOU aren't writing orders, what are YOU going to be doing?

If YOU are merchandising, then the order writers are now the sales rep, and YOU are the merchandiser.

If YOU are not writing orders, and YOU are not merchandising, then I'm gonna guess YOU won't be working here much longer...

Well I get it!!!

The goal is to get the rep doing NOTHING!!!

Then they can get rid of the rep be ause all the order writing, merchandising, and picture taking will be covered.

Seems crystal clear to me what the end goal is.
