XOM Execs on LinkedIn

The XOM PR machine is rolling strong. Almost every exec is either posting or liking posts about supporting inclusion or mental health.
Let's remember that this is the crew pushing mandatory return to office and erosion of benefits.
Newsflash Execs: this behavior is neither supportive nor leadership. Thankfully DW will show you the door when he's ready so keep posting and praying that it helps you!

Totally agree. I see an overstaffing in the Exec ranks. They're all fighting one another for a spot and using Linkedin to show their company loyalty. Funny enough, DW views it as a side show. Notice how you don't see a single post from him. Maybe it's another "beauty pageant" that he doesn't need to enter... Lol

Now that I'm out, I find xom execs to be the most tone deaf in corporate ranks. They are simply full of themselves and care about no one but themselves. I wouldn't trust any of them in a business transaction or to hold their word unless documented by an airtight contract. If you're on the fence about leaving, compare management's linkedin posts to their actual behavior. It's completely bipolar!

I particularly love the “I’m just one of the guys” photos from dunking booths or pie throwing UW fundraisers. I know for a fact that the smiling weasel covered in pie has made a mental note of everyone who pegged him in the face and they will be destined for NSI.

The PR machine is certainly rolling with the sudden uptick in happy smiling faces at team building events. Then there is the open sharing of private stories of high level employees to make the company more human. These are so far from the truth. Some of the team building events I been to recently are downright dreadful. Forced (I mean encouraged) to go and no one attempted to get to know one another. However, we had to pose for the all important "team" picture at the end. It's insincere and false advertisement.

Every time I get mental health emails and tips from EM, I have to laugh to keep from screaming. It’s a study in gaslighting.

I wonder if Enron sent emails about the importance of ethics to their employees up until the company imploded.

Just saw PNG Peter make a post and came here to answer his question asking what is more important than people. Production. Production is more important than people based on what I have seen. Understaffed teams pushed to do more and more with less and less. At least that is my experience in the Permian. It is so bad that management told the board Permian can’t deliver the plan unless something is done to stop the attrition. Pretty sad it too this long to tell them that but better late then never. Sadly this admission that we can’t deliver and that we are behind on compensation fell in deaf ears as in the Uncon forum we were all told to not expect our compensation to become competitive anytime soon as it is a multi year problem. Meanwhile the expectation of increasing production to the max will continue. Production over people. That is the Permian slogan.
