The next big round of firing will be at Power Train Manufacturing Engineering, they have seen as roadblock to meet new designs in less than 24 months. The whole division under Indy Singh is under investigation by Boston Consulting. Tesla implements new designs under 12 months and Ford barely can launch in 36 mos with bad quality due to PTME incompetence. Since Ford is going to be a SW company, Senior Mgmt does not see the need to make parts in house that are more expensive than buying them from reputable suppliers like Tesla does. Purchasing has been already decimated sending most of the operations to India, then PTME is next in line to be shredded in pieces, similar fate to STA.

Agree with last post except for this: "if your a ' poor performer ' "

Only poor performers I saw cut were ones that were toxic.
Other than them, it was the solid workers cut and age related as noted. If you are a poor performer that does not make waves and can bs with the best of them, you will not be cut. Even if you steal from the company you are safe, so long as you don't stick your head up and you keep the bs'ing up.

Yes I have seen it all, first hand.

Either before end of year or soon in Q1 2023 - what someone stated is absolutely right - if your a ' poor performer ' or pension eligible, you have a target on you and consider yourself gone. If you can be blamed for something - a bad launch, service whatever someone will target you for termination. Farley knows he will be terminated if he cant execute what Bill tells him and Doug is waiting to be next CEO ( if that doesnt make you sick, imagine Baumbick becoming CEO ). Continued inferior leadership, lack of decisions, no strategy, nothing. My friends that were terminated in August are brilliant people that really cared and got screwed based on age and to save a few measly pension dollars; Farley and Bill, you are both disgusting people.

That is such bull... Ford Blue is needed as much as ever... Mechanical parts will be needed for decades. And your EV projections are all wrong. By the time this is adopted, you will be old, gray and watching bluebirds from your patio... We don't have the ability to make EV mainstream yet.. It's just an option for now. It will come, but we are talking 20 years or so.

The Company will keep cutting until all person who are pension eligible are gone, whether it takes 6 months, 1 year or 12 (2034 is the last year for pensioners).

A couple of things to keep in mind. One will be how many people elect to leave or retire this fall. I believe you have until October 22nd to let them know. Then I suspect they will hit inside the first six months for those left over. Third this new pr rating system will be a tool to get rid of people. If the economy goes into the tank further and this EV project budget gets out of hand ($5.5bn investment in 3 -plants) then they will have no choice but to continue the HC reduction. or shift the work south of the border to save a buck.

Depends where you are working. Model e working in software and data? You're safe. Ford blue, keep your ears open, mechanical based hardware is no longer needed in Ford.

But you already knew this. How many times must leadership tell you in townhalls and video clips?
