Any news on Salary Treatment?
I strongly believe that at least it will it keep up with Inflation. It’s simply the right thing to do.

Ha! “Do the right thing”?
Imagine feedback from your boss that your courage of conviction is too strong.
Things are broken.
The XOM model has been to pay you below market value within 5 years from any starting point unless you rank in the top quartile each year. This isn't a secret or conspiracy - there's PowerPoints about it on the intranet. They don't intend to keep up with inflation.
‘Do the right thing’ was the matra of yesteryear. I haven’t seen it spoken in a long, long time.
I strongly believe OP works for Public Affairs or HR.
Every week there is a rhetorical question like this one. What's your opinion on XXXXXXXXX. Do you think XXXXXX will happen?
The questions usually tilt to the positive. Obviously someone is trying to manipulate opinion and deviate the attention from the real issues.
Pathetic.
Company has no face. But certain managers pushes down, breaking the backs and spirit of the people who do the lifting and work.
Be weary of managers who are wolves in sheep's clothing. One particular one backstabbed and manipulate his way into a bigger job and bigger salary. No recognition or rewards for all those who actually did the work. New house, new cars, and new wife/mistress all within the last 3 years.
Bless your little heart! Do you still believe in the tooth fairy too?
Believe what you want, but, the Company will argue they track the long term inflation trends and not quarterly or even annual trends. Dream on Leon, you're real pay is dropping
Interestingly enough, consultants that work for EM have the screws put to them by procurement. Not only do consultants get 0% markup on any pass through costs, some consultants have only had one contract increase, equating to less than a 15% raise over the past 20 years. Inflation over that same span of time has gone up by nearly 50%. .
When I was an employee at EM, I received an average salary increase of at least 5% every year. My salary had more than doubled after 10 years, and I felt very well compensated - but of course not relative to the managers who were reaping HUGE rewards. The love of money is the root of all evil, and ExxonMobil loves it’s money: it also loves those who can figure out how to keep it out of the hands of what’s supposed to be it’s most valuable asset: it’s people. Now as a consultant, I’m keenly aware how the company pushes down, breaking the backs and spirits of all the people who do the real heavy lifting & work.
James 5:4 comes to mind. 🙏
Raises follow ranking. For those who ranked high likely they will keepnup with inflation. For many others their raise won’t keep up with inflation. Executives will all beat inflation.
