Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Layoffs and attrition

The word on the street is that recruiting has been told that they can replace 25% of staff lost to attrition in the previous quarter. No layoffs are required given the rate of attrition and recruiting targets.

Is there any way to confirm if this is true? I know everybody is talking about record attrition, but I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary in my group. I do hope we are an exception and this rumor is true.

@OP: are you a zombie or do you work for HR or Public Affairs?

Attrition is at historical records outside your miniscule circle of brown-nowsers.

Posted 5 hours ago? That means it was 2:30am Houston time, so likely posted by someone in the BTC.

Sorry OP, based on what you are saying it is obvious that you don't work at Exxon.

Obvious a troll! “ I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary in my group”. Are you working for the Mars affiliate?

Too many people were fired and now attrition is too high to do the work the company wants done. Plan is still to reduce HC 10 headcount but need time to replace you all at the BTC.
