Are the number of weeks salary per year of service and serverence payment two different things or the same?

I might be wrong but I think it's usually separate. Most places get a base amount of something like 4-5 weeks of pay and then a variable component on top of that based on years of service. In the last comment's case it's likely 29 weeks of pay...5 weeks base and 24 weeks on the variable piece.

The packages are supposed to be the same regardless of if you volunteered or not.

Ireland site were asking similar too.
Is it 5 weeks per year of service & 2 additional 'statutory' weeks per year of service.

My 12yrs x 7 weeks = 84weeks pay?

Are these statutory weeks included if you volunteer into CPM.
And is CPM layoff treated as 'redundancy payment' under tax regulations
