Yep. A few years ago raises were given out in order of assessment group. The higher the group - you got it on a rotating 12 month cycle. For lower assessments you got it in 14, 16, 18 months.

Getting your raise in January is NOT how it has always been done. It has been a long time where EVERYONE got their raise on Jan 1st. Receiving the raise info in December is a fairly NEW thing.
Early December like every year
ppm = parts per million
- 97% = 9700 ppm
…so the raise looks BIG, but in reality it’s not… :-)
What’s ppm?
@lbx+1jDAhj8Q I should also add that hilariously my supervisor even had the sensitivity to write the calcalated percentage on my post-it to the 2 decimal places!!!!! 😁
Raises will be communicated in ppm.
My 0.97% rise information meeting last year was super exciting!
Do supervisors actually schedule a meeting to tell you that you get 0% raise? That’s almost more awkward and insulting than not talking about it at all…..
Raises are always shred in December. They must be communicated prior to the first paycheck in the new year. This doesn’t change unless you’re promoted at some point during the year.
I’m guessing I’ll be told I have been given 0% rise in mid December. Probably earliest will be early December. New meaning to zero sum game.
By the way I was ranked (20) O and (21) O. Let that sink in. This place is a disaster.
I have four conversations with other companies - trying to pick the best balance of culture and rewards. There ARE better options. Don’t hang around and become sick with fear and worry.
