How different will these cuts be from 2016?

I don't believe that these cuts will be much less unfair than the ones in 2016 when some of the best employees were cut.

The latest trend from Bain is to layoff both the oldest and the youngest. Those in the middle are safer.

All the same middle managers = all the same corruption. Can’t expect a tiger to change its stripes. For those who don’t want to be laid off, you need defenders among the power brokers in your org.

They won't be fair as usual, it's managers choice and they usually keep the bu-t kissers and friends. This is exactly why Intel will repeat this process again in a few years, there executives and managers are to blame for all the failures and shortcomings but never held accountable.
