Don't wait until then to take all of your money out of wells fargo. DO THAT NOW!!!!!!!!! I don't care if you have $20 in a checking account, close that account and take your $20 elsewhere. DO NOT WAIT!!

It worked out that I left last October and took my new job. The new employer used my WF salary + previous year’s bonus (total comp) as my new salary. Since then I have received a 3% raise, a small bonus and I’m getting a 5% raise in the new year. Leave WF guys! You are conditioned to expect little or zero for your knowledge and hard work. Wells Fargo does NOT deserve you.
@1qfr+1jDZefxn Don’t be afraid to ask for it as sign on. They may say no but you have nothing to lose. I left IT in Oct and negotiated my 401k match, 80% of last year’s bonus and my unvested RSU’s into a sign on. They even projected a $60 value on the shares to be “fair” - their choice, not even my ask.
WF has conditioned you to get the bottom of the barrel and feel like they’re doing you the favor. In the real world, companies are happy to pay fairly for the skills they need. I bumped my salary by a little over 20% and now I work on systems that actually use current technology and aren’t bogged down by ridiculous process layers.
It’s still work but that’s what they pay me for. Don’t give up, know your worth and don’t be afraid to ask.
Fake tough guys and keyboard warriors say it every year... And nothing. If you are 62+ you should run.

I’d double check - I thought this leadership took away the retirement exception. Ridiculous right?
Theres always a big exodus of people after bonuses are paid.
Not me. I will be resigning prior to bonus payout because I can’t take another 3 months at this place. I will be forfeiting approx 25% of my salary but it is worth the peace of mind, imo.
If you get RSRs, you'll forfeit them when you leave. They aren't vested yet
I was told that RSRs were discontinued. What I mean is, who wants to own stock in the titanic company. Or, in other words, who wants to own Enron bonds…
If you retire and over 65, you still get 401k match if u leave prior to Dec match date. You do NOT get a prorated bonus if you retire before the payout date. That used to be the case but sent out email in march, 2022 to document this change.
I was thinking of taking a taser to my laptop, so that I can be off-line for a month until technology gets me a new one and reconfigures everything. I know it’s not as final as actually leaving the company, but it kind of is a short term break. I’ll just call the helpdesk and say my computer crashed.
If pay increase is less than 5% I'll ramp up my now passive search and be gone in Q1 or Q2...
Me - I actually have the next job lined up already

It is different if you qualify for retirement. I forget what the exact number is: years of service + age has to be 85(?) or higher. Also - I think you get a pro-rated bonus if they lay you off.
Question, I thought you had to be employed on the day of bonus payout to get it? Handbook, if I recall, says as much unless your manager or business group does an exception. I’ve turned down a few jobs this fall waiting for the bonus and some RSRs I will cash in around same time.
I’m more seeing people put in their retirement notices now, working through 12/15 to get their 401K match. (They will still be able to collect their pro-rated bonus.)
I work remotely, too. Also, quiet quitting. I’ll stick around for virtually free money. It’s not like I’ll be going to work at Facebook or Twitter, that’s unless they buy the company. Lol.
one of my coworkers planned to retire end of year BUT will remain until Feb for bonus payout.... as far as quitting...well, we are all "quiet quitting" until we're laid off and receive severance package!!
knowing WF, the next round of layoffs will be before annual reviews so they don't have to pay bonus or merit
He-l yes!!! 🙋♂️
People say that every year but it never happens.
