@1jew You make an observation that’s often seen promoted by mainstream media. You could be correct in your observation, but who knows? Though, it would be nice if we were able to be presented with actual facts about internal promotions. I don’t think the company would give us actual facts.
What I can do is give you my observation. All my promotions Occurred with legacy WF before the Wachovia merger. In my opinion, legacy WF was an enjoyable place to work. I received all kinds of merit awards and promotions. Post Wachovia merger, this place became a living H E L L. No more merit awards no more promotions. I know for a fact that I didn’t change overnight. I was providing exceptional service and going beyond the call of duty.
That being said, the merger occurred about 14 years ago. You joined the company at the worst possible time. The merger just happened. Scandals broke the news. Major policy changes. Finally, the asset cap.
So, you see, you didn’t join the WF I knew.
This leaves you with four options:

  1. S U C K it up buttercup.
  2. Begin applying for different positions in different apartments in the company.
  3. Quit.
  4. Learn to work the system. This website has presented several great ideas on how to Squeeze more money out of this company.

Good luck.

Only $125K and you live in LA? How do you survive? Live with your parents? No offense.
I think we need to have more people be much more candid about their salaries and areas. Good thread. Apparently, some people are being taken advantage of.
