What’s actually being reduced?
Is manufacturing impacted (admittedly hires over the past few years have been questionable at best).

Who knows, the company needs to lose about 30 to 40K to be competitive but where and whom.
As we learned last time inefficiency seems to be built into the core. Hard to see Intel trim and compete like TSMC or Samsung as a manufacture or AMD or Nvidia as a fabless.
Pretty FUBAR future but layoffs are a certainty as IDM and IFS based on x86 will never be like it was in the 90s printing money in the WINTEL days. What the company needs is a pivot, not the same old old time which isn’t going to work!
