Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Layoffs started?

I was hearing managers are already asked to drop some people. I noticed some groups already 1-2 people smaller.
I can count at least 3 groups in past 2 weeks

@3akn+1jExxcoB - The only thing Todd’s wise and gentle leadership controlled was his right hand moving up and down.

@OP

Yes, I noticed the very same thing. Most teams on our floor were noticeably more than a few employees light on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Obviously a quiet layoff…. no other explanation for it…

These layoffs were small and with cause. The Bank took the high road and gave packages. This should not happen and is so wrong.

Yes, this is true. It has been happening and continues. Expect more of the same in 2023. Merry Christmas / Happy New Year.

I’m just glad the company is still spending money on all the D&E stuff.

I don’t know about you, but I’m missing Todd’s wise and gentle leadership every day.

He was the best and possibly only truly great BNYM CEO ever.

TG was reasonable and he loved this company. Yes, he had to make hard decisions at times over his career, but having spent some time with him I know he took these hard decisions to heart.

I know exactly how you feel. We all miss Todd’s reasoned and positive leadership through the most challenging era in modern history.
