Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Why join Wells Fargo?

  1. Opportunities to learn more about banking and investing.
  2. Great on the résumé. If you survived Wells Fargo, you can survive any company.
  3. Easier to obtain a job elsewhere, because prospective employers will feel sorry for you.
  4. If you don’t like your current position, you can apply for another internal position every year.
  5. If your supervisor doesn’t like you, you don’t need to wait to apply for another position, you’ll be shuffled to another supervisor.
  6. You’ll soon develop a very thick skin. After a while, every team member, who approaches you, you’ll be looking for an angle.
  7. You may even have the opportunity to be quiet fired, and play along by quiet quitting at the same time. Hence, Very little or no work and lots of free time by WFH.
  8. Policies change frequently. If you don’t like the current policies, just wait a little while, the CEO will be replaced with another CEO. And so on and so on.
  9. Free team member checking account with no fees.
  10. Finally, biweekly paychecks, direct deposited.

You won’t regret it. This is a chance of a lifetime to work for a very unpredictable company, though, what is predictable is the unpredictability.

My supervisor does not like me. And I don't care.

Of course you don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Though, what’s wrong with keeping a few bucks with WF? Those ATM machines do come in handy. Not happy they moved my 401(k) to the other company. I am concerned about the rumors of selling off the WFA arm.

I wish I could find a role where it's in a huge department. And my manager forgets that I even exist because they're so busy with everyone else. They suddenly remember me at review time, freak out at their oversight, and gives me exceeds. Then we just keep that going over and over.

I go to the salon once a week to have all the calluses, I get from work, filed down. Else, by the end of month, my skin gets real thick.

You can apply for an internal position but recruiters get a bonus for external hires, so good luck with that.

I was excited to land here. Was told that I was much needed. Laid me off after only one year. Waste of my time.
