Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Cisco is now under the bus

They are sleep walking into irrelevancy. Rested too long on their laurel wreath. Now a bunch of politically motivated mid-managers and self serving directors with superficial functionality and no contribution towards revenue, are eating away at its heart. Cisco cannot even retain any talent any more. Anyone who is any good is either leaving or has already left.

True words from @yoj+1jAxYaq5.

I’m cruising, mate. Easy mid-market money.

At this point, all Cisco can do is try to limit the slope of their decline in relevance, and, therefore, in profit over the next several years.

They're too big to go away any time soon as far too many customers have an installed Cisco equipment base that needs to be maintained. Unfortunately, there will continue to be a big squeeze on margins for simply maintaining the status quo. Customers will spend their big dollars on new innovation that improves their own bottom line. They will get this innovative technology from someone else.

My sense is that everyone inside Cisco is simply playing musical chairs. Anyone paying attention knows that customers see less and less value from the company, and no one wants to be the one asked to leave the floor when the music stops.

I get the impression that nobody cares much anymore. Just keeping up appearances, acting positive, and collecting paychecks. From employees up to ELT.

You're just reposting a section from another thread. Lame. No imagination. Zero.
