Got an external offer today for $60k more. Psyched to put in my notice - nothing better than sitting through a meeting watching a dead horse get kicked and knowing it’s not a horse you will need to smell in a couple of weeks
I'm 428 days into unofficial retirement and still being paid. Also saw Elf last week. The official start of Christmas season to me.
Within a two week period, applied to 3 external jobs, resulted in 2 interviews, and 1 offer. $40k more for the same work. Turned in resignation today, feel elated.
@1kdy. That’s because Arizona knows BS when they see it. 🤣
When one door closes many other doors open for a happier future.
Guy 1: “My son got into Devry”
Guy 2: “Oh! What’d he do, open the door!”
Guy 1: “Can’t you let me have ANYTHING!”
Kari Lake lost, that's good news for today.
realized they are hiring people with little to no exp making us train them in prep to lay us off
I am one day closer to retirement!
Started a new job today working half as many hours for more than twice the pay of Wells. Fully remote as well. Chuck can take all his scandals, fines, and other BS and stuff it where the sun doesn’t shine!
Getting Taylor Swift presale code. 🤣
I’m retired. I’m healthy. I’m financially secure. I answer to nobody. It will happen for you.
We all have ups and downs.
Think about the holidays coming up. Some of the major stores are decorated, already. Very festive. Looking forward to the hallmark channel Christmas shows. Usually the same plot, but always a happy ending.
10 days until Thanksgiving.
41 days until Christmas.
Working from home, I can go out for quick, peaceful strolls in nature the way those in the office go out for coffee/smoke breaks.
I'm sorry for your day. The only thing I can share that could be unquestionably encouraging is This, too, shall pass.
I didn’t forget trash day this week.
I heard tech is affected.
You are loved & appreciated - probably by people you least expect to notice your considerable impact. Be grateful for the simple things in life. Cheer up and focus on a topic OUTSIDE of WF (ANY topic other than WF) so your balloon doesn't get deflated after reading this. Surviving this toxic work environment with an attitude of gratitude for having a job has become my full-time job. Hang in there & build a positive support network; it's a necessity that we maintain the human touch amidst the savagery.
