There were layoffs today? Did EDM get hit? What about TSG?
Why do people downvote Todd’s employee friendly leadership? I really want to understand the dysphoria of raging against layoffs but not appreciating the CEO who guided us through a 4 1/2 year break from them.
Everybody who wanted to leave had a long peaceful era for a job search. Everybody still here have got to be staying for the package.
Do people simply want to be miserable?
We all are now really missing the kind, considerate and empathetic leadership of Todd Gibbons. Robin really doesn’t have to lead this way. Attrition has been doing the job for us.
On the bright side, it was a long 4 1/2 years since August 2018, the very last significant BNYM layoff way back under Charlie Scharf. I know that I have enjoyed the long welcome lull in the layoff storm. Everybody who really wanted to leave had a peaceful period to find their next role and those who of us who have stayed are surely hoping for a package, so all is good.
This definitively ends the Todd Gibbons era.
