I'm noticing in most companies, people prefer teams over webex for communication

I don’t know, maybe cut the lame race car sponsorship and save some jobs?

YES. COLLAB WILL BE IMPACTED! Collab is an overlay and not needed o sales and marketing.
Budgets were cut in June. Too many people with too little to do. Marketing is not needed and we need to be consolidated under Carrie P team. Aruna is a terrible leader and a complete waste of money. The leadership that has been in place pre and post pandemic should all be fired. We lost tremendous amount of markets hare. We can blame MS and Zoom all we want, but leadership did not pay attention and here we are..in a business unit that is going to get the ax. It starts at the top and that is where the layoffs need to start.

Although I know that MS Teams is successful and growing but in my opinion I like Webex much better. I used MS teams for last few years and had limited access to webex. After joining here and using webex in its full glory, I found it much more intuitive and user-friendly.

I hope so. The whole bunch who let Zoom become a generic household name deserve to be cut.

I am the spouse of a Cisco employee. I work for a government agency.

We do use Teams in normal day to day work since it came with other MS products.

BUT, if we have any sensitive discussions we are required to use Webex.

Our analysts claim that Webex is far superior from a security standpoint. There is a huge market in the government sector that provides more than enough revenues to keep Webex going and growing.

Wish I could say I like Webex, but it really lacks stability and the UI is really terrible. Teams is slightly better but it’s definitely a pricing decision.

I'll be honest, I used MS Teams at my last company. I do like it better than Webex....Webex isn't bad but MS Teams is dirt cheap if you already use MS Office.

MS Teams is everywhere. They bundle it almost for free, we just can't compete. There's no bright future for WebEx. A shame because it's a good product at the end of the day.

Webex getting hit on both sides by many competitors with similar or better offerings
+ SaaS offerings are hard to sustainably differentiate. Eventually they become commoditized

Lots of marketing money spent by AR, Collaboration CMO and nothing to show for it but layoffs. Leadership failure at is finest! I want to get laid off...this org is a disaster! Collab Sales and Marketing Leadership asleep at wheel for too long....and here we are...layoffs! Good news is they are all are overpaid, so they and there ridiculous egos will be just fine. Will be interesting to see if they have jobs after this clear dialect of duty!

Not sure there's a future for WebEx or WebEx Teams - MS is taking over the world

Most likely to be impacted. Collaboration is down and the comments on Meetings are pretty grim. Calling seems to have a better future.
