I know, Wells has its issues, but every company does. When you bad talk it, it reflects upon you. If you need to update your resume, just do it, and leave. Really, enough already!

Oh please. There are issues, bad companies, and the completely corrupt WF. Nothing is like this bloated corrupt leadership. Now taking a sip of my coffee. Lol
Wells is beginning to act like other large banks’ cultures. I’ve worked for several. It’s the industry. It’s more cutthroat now, but the others pay better. The grass isn’t always greener. Layoffs are a threat here and elsewhere. If people say they aren’t, then they’re fools for not seeing it especially going into a recession.
I've worked for Wells Fargo for two decades. I've earned the right to criticize it. In fact, one might argue that it's actually my responsibility.

Why should I leave? I didn't create fake accts, steal customers identities,, bankrupt anyone, ruin peoples livelihood, commit mortgage back security fraud which made people lose their homes, discriminate against anyone, overcharge for mortgages, commit auto insurance fraud, over charge fees for 401k, deny mortgages due to sw flaws I didn't write, and I didn't fire competent ethical employees while keeping those who did all the above and then hire more of the same. I'm innocent

Worked at a regional bank when I was fresh out of college. They had layoffs every few months. I was never a target due to low pay for recent grads at the time. However, by the time I was there 4 years, I couldn't take the ups and downs of constant layoffs anymore and left (for more pay, too). WF is starting to feel like that for me and I'm sure others. I guess this is another way to drive attrition.
This is a hilarious post. Give employees a reason to show any loyalty, until then we will laugh at the na--d emperors and their brain dead decisions.
I left a long time ago. The reason I left is I went from being proud to work for Wells Fargo to feeling like I had been lied to and lied about. The new "management" saw fit to mandate that middle managers assign lower than Meets ratings to staff. They even made stuff up to include on performance reviews in order to justify "Inconsistently Meets." So I quit. But I can't help showing up here and venting because I worked there for 23 years and I should have been treated with more respect. I got a better paying job and it's not going to go away as interest rates rise and the board of directors and CEO mismanage the remaining team members. Sorry you want to keep hanging on. Its so great not to work for that company anymore.

Actually, you’re wrong. Doesn’t reflect on me. It reflects on leadership of the company. They don’t have a strong enough PR campaign to crush all the bad media.
WF is nothing more than a money making business. It’s the distant cousin of FTX, but regulated.
OP must be new to the company or post-Wachovia merger. The individual hasn’t been around long enough to experience the culture change.
When I joined Wells Fargo, it was the poster child of what a bank should be. What I didn’t expect, was it to turn into the arm pit of the industry. It went from poster child to wanted poster. So yes, it is fun to poke fun at this company. Venting is healthy. Mainstream media reminds us of its shortcomings almost every week. So yes, many of us are just kind of quiet quitting, waiting for our big fat, juicy golden severance to make up for all the BS this company put us through.
Some of us turned down job offers from other financial institutions. Like I said, I’m not bailing without some compensation.
This is the place to vent. I have seen comments from hear brought up in executive calls. So keep it coming folks.

Couldn’t have stated it better. Our company had enough problems already but when Charlie came in, he hired all his minions and they destroyed what was left.
My guess is you may have worked for jpm? If you have been here for more than a few years you would feel the ultimate disappointment to watch a company you were proud of destroyed from the top down. Total chaos and disorganization every day. Employees with any emotional intelligence sense the lack of integrity. You must have leaders that employees can respect else the present total chaos.
Someone is having a stoic evening. Yes, it is good to think positive but having the edge of negativity / anxiety is a survival instinct. The OP as well as the rest of us knows it is only a matter of time.
Virtue signaling is not going to help you keep your job for too long.
I actually applied to another, highly-rated bank just last night. The position would be a 40%+ raise over what WF is paying me.
I'll gladly walk out the door with my 2+ decades of WF knowledge if I get the offer.
