I say the layoffs will start on December 20. It's a Tuesday, the usual "layoffs day" and it's a few days before Christmas to impact maximum pain on those who are affected. Yes, that's how low my opinion is of this leadership that I genuinely believe that date could be when it all plays out.

Pat is too religious to mess with Jesus’ birthday like that. Also it’s awkward for the managers to tell people that they are getting canned while they’re on vacation. I think they communicate details the first week of December but separations don’t begin in earnest until January.
Tech industry will be in a full scale meltdown by then, so my advice is to either keep 6 months of savings in reserve, or look for openings at your local Walmart or Starbucks.
