Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

I would rather get cut right away than be put on PIP

Even if they survive it, very few people ever recover from the PIP. That's why I would rather choose to be laid off right away. You?

As an RSM my ARSM came in and said I had 24 hrs to resign or I will be put in a PCP or whatever the new term is and be termed in 30 days. Never once been in a discipline and that same day they did it to 4 other RSMs all with 10 yrs or more.

employees are just an expense item on stanks/rands spreadsheet.

if you like spreadsheets then you will go far in att.

remember no safe space and too many mouths to feed even though they just keep hiring.

Most supervisors are lazy!!! If you get put on a PIP… chances are they half-assed it and it won’t hold in arbitration ;)

Are PIP’s even used anymore? It’s like getting a DML…. Total joke performance management.

Unless something has changed. You don’t get severance if you are on a PIP and then subsequently terminated for poor performance. Also, there are very few PIPs because management likes to keep their headcount because they can’t backfill and they also like lower performing fodder for layoffs.

They both are PIPing and just throwing people away starting today. Just disgusting if you lived out of region and have been and are producing, They just cut you.
I know so many people that have been there for years, been productive and successful, made a TON of money for that POS company….only to be discarded today .
