Why are so many people resigning from the Finance functions? Attrition is >50% in some teams!!! It doesn’t make sense that we’re not acting to keep some of the talent walking out the door everyday!!!!

Finance function EEs also have broad market opportunities outside traditional oil and gas. Plus it is very obvious that KM thinks attrition is a feature not a flaw. We’d probably see even more attrition if some much of senior management didn’t have hundreds of thousands in unvested RSUs
Over the years, Controllers has morphed from a highly respected oversight function to a role of lackey and scapegoat.
Can the trading floor be moved to Bangalore?
I was a +10 year finance employee and I left last year...the company's trajectory for HC10 employees was obvious, even more so for the service functions, and I didn't want to sit around trying to hang on until NRE. Since I left we've seen KM pass over internal candidates to bring in the new treasurer/VP and the roll out of the bizarre hotdesking scheme. While DWW and TG were quick to abandon all the promises that were made regarding stable employment, KM never even had a sip of that kool aid, she just wants less overhead in Tax/Treasurers/Controllers and she's going to get it...
EM Execs want the attrition.
Hiring people in BTC for less than minimum wage to do same duties.
Ok. We all know service lines in HC10 countries are getting a hit. Eventually many (most.j lines’ work will go to low cost centers or MSPs…. But what’s the actual plan ?
Do you jump off the titanic early and deal with the freezing water longer or jump later and try to avoid the suction. Either way, the end is near for the service line folks.
They have probably seen what is coming and what the plans are for HC 10 countries so are leaving on their own timing rather than being fired like all the other HC 10 employees will be once the BTC is up and running.
Because Controllers and Finance can see the writing on the wall. EM’s own people were passed over for a huge promotion and an outsider was brought it. There’s no loyalty to long term employees, so why stay loyal to EM?
Controllers has always been the worst part of EM to work for, attrition there was always high even pre-2019.
To count how much money they are saving through pips. Then deliver pip requirements and establish pass rates.
