I've seen the number go anywhere from 8k to 19k in various posts. I'm not sure if any of the mentioned numbers have any official bases or if they are just a result of people guessing based on the amount set aside for the restructuring. It would be nice to know the actual number, though, just to know what to expect.

4500 blue badges, 6000 red badges. red badges are not reported nor do they get any package. expense reduction is the goal. my team's 2 contractors will not be renewed at end of Q2.
Those numbers are always FTE, never includes contractors/vendors. They'll cut a few thousand red badges too, but don't have to report that!
60k-75k.
All of you affected who are 50 +consult an attorney and get those lawsuits filed. Age discrimination is real and many lawsuits are extremely successful. Cisco has a pattern. Don't take the severance and collect unemployment and file suit. The settlement will be well worth it....
I worked in HR and can confirm that Cisco Layoff numbers are much more than they announce publicly by taking advantage of the different laws in each state in the US
5% was posted internally, so just over 4k
