Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Incompetent VP, Corporate VP, Directors rule the show

For each BU, if they had laidoff even 3% of Employees, Director level & up, each BU would have got a fresh start, with fresh idea and most importantly saved hundreds 9f jobs down the eco chain who really need it and are more active, do the real work and smart than those directors and above.

So most and yes 99.5% of those incompetent and ignorant ones get to stay or will even get promoted.

The critical skill matrix is an euphesim for getting to know the really best employees who can deliver.

But Intel never did that , neither they will do this time. They never cared to value employees or keep the best ones.

Smart employees will leave, slight less smart but not political will be fired and in high proportions the least of the smart guys who have nowhere to go, but are politically savvy and get to stay.

These cycle continues on , on, and on.

@2uvo Maybe this is why you will stay an IC forever. SOMEONE has to “run the show”. Being upset that someone is in charge and no longer does IC duties daily is silly. Grow up.

My 2 cents on this. People care less about intel than personal ambitions. I am safe, my buddy is safe, my GF is safe who cares about intel. I met one guy who owns multi $$$ house and he has not done any innovation/coding/sales/management work from last 6 yr. He has bunch of CW's and runs the show.. Do you need to pay for such people.. find people who run the show.. they should be kicked.

Smart people left years ago.
Intel is a cesspool of mediocrity.

Yeah buddy cause when the sr leaders are all DEI and don’t have a clue how to run a chip business then you certainly can’t expect them to even understand who are the key people.
