The longer the uncertainty lasts, the greater the chaos here. Employees try to predict who will be cut and which positions are perhaps a little safer, even though everyone knows that no one's job is guaranteed. Meanwhile, morale is terribly low.

Just treat everyday as a normal day -- the axe can fall anytime, layoff season or not. Do your best, wisely select projects, keep your skills sharp and radiate positive energy.
It's all anyone can do.

Spend full time at work preparing for interviews. Most managers don't like the HR or execs so they will quietly support you
