Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

What are you thankful about XOM this thanksgiving?

Is there anything to be thankful for working at XOM while DW and his cronies cut cut cut all and any about employees while filling up their pockets?

I am thankful for the big gubment and corporation(s) getting in my pants a little at a time.

Otherwise, I am highly likely to pass out, if given the full load.

Today, I am thankful that I successfully pooped out the entire turkey from yesterday, but the Christmas miracle was that it came out in the shape of DW's face!

I’m thankful for having the freedom and courage to find a new job and quietly quit. This company will never survive without us disgruntled hotshots! Proof is in the numbers, another 60-70 years, when the global economy moves fully away from hydrocarbons, we will have showed them who is boss! Ya!

I’m thankful for the EM projects I worked which provided numerous opportunities to practice my craft and meet external parties. These things led to my next job (outside of EM), which is primarily wfh and provides 40% more total remuneration.

I’m thankful I had the courage to leave. It isn’t easy to leave hats you known since college, but it has opened so many new doors. Thanks EM for making such poor decision to help with my courage

I’m thankful that I was retirement eligible and pulled the trigger in June. And I’ve started a second career with a company the doesn’t have the toxic culture at ExxonMobil including an antiquated performance review and forced ranking system used to disguise layoffs.

Best Thanksgiving in 3 years!

I am thankful that some of our most qualified people still have good expat and rotational assignments. I am also thankful for their Married Unaccompanied status and their lonely wives. Good too see some old traditions are still in place.
