Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Impacts of constant recalls

I've been thinking about the impacts of constant recalls on this company. How much was the reputation tarnished, and how much money was lost in this year alone? Any thoughts?

As they said... Mechanical Engineers are no longer needed! LOL We will be a software company!
Now is time to pay for recalls! ROI of -900% on letting go your ME.
EV and ICE cars are complex electro-mechanical systems but why would an MBA guy understand that! It was not covered in his/her excel training.
So now just pay and learn!!!

@OP. There is no doubt that Ford vehicles look great. This means that some people, the ones that don't do their homework before visiting the dealership, are going to keep buying the Ford lineup.

However, as more people get frustrated with the endless recalls and the eternity their vehicles have to stay in the workshop, we'll keep losing loyal customers. Also, those people that actually do some researching before buying, won't be considering Ford as one of the possible brands. Another thing to consider is the disgruntled Ford (ex) employees that will be switching to another brand.

Therefore, I am expecting Ford will have lower sales, forcing the company to discount certain vehicles. This will impact the bottom line, forcing BF/JF (in their twisted minds) to keep laying off workers, and feeding the vicious cycle, until bankruptcy.
