Diamondback to acquire Lario Permian for $1.55 billion

Seems we need to fire the entire team working acquisitions. They just can’t seem to get a deal across the finish line in the Permian.

A&D teams are worthless. Don’t be envious of that deal though. Why they didn’t buy Hess during Covid is beyond me…. Protecting “grandma’s dividend” was more important.

I’m not impressed with that group lately.

@rob+1jTKQe3O. I want them to actually buy something. They haven’t bought during the low of the cycle (like others did) and they haven’t bought during any other time of the cycle. What do they actually do? Zero results. Oh yeah, they were very successful in farming down our ownership of Guyana. Gotta give them credit for that genius level work!

Yep. Gotta buy low to sell high, right?
And find some cheap automatons to bring it all out. Very cheap.
Texas, baby.

So you want them to make acquisitions regardless of the economics?

We should be making acquisitions during bottom of the cycle (eg. CVX & Noble)
