@1vep Pretty sure you’re not making more money than me.
The difference: I actually work for it.
Don’t make this about race. There have been plenty of employees of all skin colors who have lost their jobs through the results of incompetent leadership
Come on guys... That whole party probably cost 350 or 700usd depending on how they got the dollars...
Exxon can afford it for now.
ExxonMobil local Argentina leaders learn well from Argentina's government.
Let's pretend everything is awesome by throwing big parties so you guys can forget, at least for one day, how your earnings erode with runaway inflation.
Enjoy the party.
Here it is again, the EM champion, the EM defender, the EM warrior!!!!
Are you envious that we make more $ than you?
Are you afraid of becoming one of those "long passed their prime time"?
Be mindful of what irritates you about others as it can provide a good insight about yourself.
No way to get money out of Argentina so you might as well spend it before its lost to inflation...
Well now we know where all the HC 10 jobs went. Looks like they rented out a stadium. That is a HUGE party.
@jtc There’s no level of compensation that would ever keep pace with Argentine inflation. It’s been a chronic problem ever since the peso was decoupled from the dollar.
In fact, Argentina never really recovered from The Corralito in 2001.
Well, your leadership takes advantage of them with low wages and secondary status to the mothership. Why not?
I would not envy Argentina… if Americans don’t think EM salary keeps up with inflation in the US, you should see what happens to Argentinian EM employees.
It’s their company; I guess they can do what they want to it. Be thankful that you have a desk, if you do. If you don’t, then be thankful for something else in order to take your mind off EM.
EM is doing this because they can.
@OP What choice does the company have? It has literally thousands of people on the payroll who have done practically nothing over the past decade, collect salaries in excess of $200k, and usurp benefits due to age-related illnesses.
The sooner they’re shown the door the better. It’s long past time for most of them to retire anyway. Hotdesking seems to have finally done the trick in getting at least some of these people to leave. Let’s keep it going.
Happy Holidays.
