As of January 2024, rumor mill has it that at least 170 employees received their notices, mostly from lending services, TOS, and RETECH. The majority of those impacted is MUFG employees, peppered with some USB folks. It is widely anticipated that most, if not all, MUFB people will be eliminated within a year after SD1.

TOS will RIF and Re-org. At least once a year. Never touch their useless middle management. Millions can be saved and nothing lost with the elimination of the official meeting attendees. Way to many levels in TOS.

I asked for and got a package in 2021 and it was the best thing I ever did. Enjoying my well deserved retirement!

MUFG employees will be decimated. Outside of the branch and customer facing the rest should already start looking .

All I see are negative surveys regarding us bank branches.

Layoffs are happening in January through March. Union bank is a better bank with better talent. Remains to be seen who will be impacted UB or USB employees.
This is coming from a USB employee.

Now the acquisition of MUFG Union Bank is complete, what is going to happen to the MUFG employees who were mapped to US Bank? I work in IT Risk and Control Governance and Oversight and not sure if I will have a job or not in the next 90 days.

It's seems apparent the MUFG Union Bank Retail sector will prevail. Us Bank Retail is atrocious. Have you been in a US Bank branch compared to Union Bank branch. Us Bank employees seems like they want to go home and know very little compared to Union bank. I have accounts at both it's not even a comparison tbh. Union is far superior and that's coming from a US Bank employee.

Plenty of corporate MUFG employees will be laid off due to redundancy.

What about the employees coming to US Bank from the MUFG Union Bank acquisition who were mapped to US Bank? Are they going to be laid off?

Everyone I know who was laid off at the end or beginning of a year has received their prorated bonus (target allocation).

They usually layoff so they won’t have to pay out bonuses so my guess it will be in December/January timeframe as usual.
