Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Only in Nike-land...

Can an ETW with the right...pedigree be converted and onboarded as a Director. It's as if HR watched King Ralph and thought it was an inspiring documentary. Ya just don't know whether to laugh or cry these days.

@OP+1jW86AHU worst post ever. You need more self awareness. I suspect your conversion was a mistake.

I was etw for over 3 consecutive years in 2010. Ignore the shady part about bending contingent workforce laws for years but every year I was able to some how or another stay on and get renewed and was then converted to black badge as an E-band to lead a small team for a few years got promoted to S-band manage a few teams and then caught up in CDA during pandemic with a fat severance. All good here no complaints about my Nike experience even after getting fired for what some may assume being one of those old white dudes.

lol if you think an etw can be converted to a fte in an e-band role you might as well think jd really cares about the people in this company

What I got from this post is entitlement and assumption that more years of Nike experience = more deserving of a role. It's about the quality of work, not the years. Also if you don't like it, buck up and start interviewing.

Many contractors come to Nike with many years of professional experience, which could also be highly specialized. Why on earth would Nike make someone like that start at the bottom? And why would any smart person accept a role at Nike for any less than they’re worth?

Do the same! Leave, make more money, come back back as Director and make even more !

Why should an ETW not be allowed to convert to a director?
In my experience, they’re some of the hardest working and knowledgeable people at the company that are constantly treated as second class… kind of like this thread.
