Locking in bonus, changing LOB

Let's say I join another LOB. I want to make sure I get the 2022 bonus locked in before doing so.

Is there such a lock-in date?

Your bonus will be prorated if you make a move before January 1.

if you are hired into a new job internally after October 15 or some cutoff date, you are not eligible for a merit increase as of the next regular review in January the following year. Just don't ever apply for a new role at the end of the year.

If you're f'd out of your raise/bonus for no other reason than the timing of when you transferred, then I would make 2023 the least productive year of your entire career.

Not getting a raise/bonus = a pay cut

You can't cut someone's pay and expect them to do more work. Life doesn't work that way.

You get it locked in when it hits your paycheck. That's about the only guarantee

Calibration performed after submission? It used to be done with the managers before submission. Nice to know you get recalibrated based on someone who doesn't know anything about you or your performance. Just like if the exceeds allocation is exhausted for your group, you can not enter any exceeds for your team. I wonder why retention is so low! Lmao

If I recall, at least in the old days bonuses were paid from the LOB you were currently working in, regardless of where you'd spent the entire year. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Calibration sounds so scientific and sterile. This is where the politics and toxicity comes into play the most. After the calibrations, managers finalize the reviews to justify the compensation. Good luck.

Managers have until EOB tomorrow to enter their comp recommendations From there a calibration is done with everything finalized by Jan 21st.
