Unrealistic expectations

Everyone talks about unrealistic expectations for employees who are on PIP.
How do you identify unrealistic expectations? I am specifically interested in how much higher the expectations are now than before you were put on this plan. Is it somehow possible to express it?

Just keep raising the bar (whatever the job may be does not matter) until most people cannot get above it. If the job is a high jump. What is the world record? Eight or nine feet? "Alright Employee ABC, you gotta jump ten feet or you are out. That is the job requirement." If somehow people start getting above it more than desired, make it 11 feet or 12 feet. Continue to infinity until reduction targets are reached. Easy to play those games with people. Well not easy for normal people, but easy provided one is void of a moral compass.

If you are on PIP, you have already been identified as someone they will cut, one way or another.

Even if you meet the expectations, they will still let you go.

It’s better to use your time to find an employer who treats you like a human instead of a machine.
