Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

You weren't accepting inferior services for the company. You accepted them so you coukd stay long enough to get a pension. You didn't push for the services to be better because you didn't want to put in the harder work or be "that gal" who pushed her coworkers to do better.

For decades this mindset didn't matter because there was a consistent inflow of younger people who would push for good, long-term improvements and stick around for the pension. When they ended new pension enrollments in 2015 this flow stopped. Now you have an inflow of new hires who make good short term decisions but generally don't care about the long term. They know they won't be there for it

Mint mobile. $30 per month. Unlimited everything. 5gb monthly hotspot is free. It Grabs 5G signal where I cannot get a single bar of AT&T anything at all. That includes downtown.

AT&T Internet? Lucky if I'd get 17mbps coming down, 1.5 going up. Streaming stalls, Security cameras constantly cutting in and out. AT&T doesn't even offer anything better or faster - even retail. I live in the suburbs in a newer home by a major city.

On Xfinity now. During low traffic times 300mbps+. High traffic 100mbps+. $40 per month and everything always works. Always.

Discounts are nice and all, but if the products won't perform they are pointless. I'm glad I no longer need to peddle or accept inferior products for the sake of some kind of loyalty to my company.

'Friends and family?' I'll keep them by referring them to almost any other provider.

I use Patriot Mobile. $35 a month per phone for a 5GIG plan, which is plenty enough for me.

I use an OTA Antenna and get about 40 stations, most I don't watch, and otherwise have a Firestick. What you get after that is based on what you like. Sports- then SlingTV has a reasonable sports package. I like Star Trek, so I use Paramount +. Hulu has some decent streaming/ live TV packages too.

Sorry guys but your all wrong, retirees get a discount on wireless products - your cell phone account as long as it's not prepaid. You must be on auto pay and paperless billing and you set it up online, att retiree , fill in the blanks and it works, it's like 15-20 percent if my foggy memory is correct

I would go with Cricket and forget AT&T.

I just put a teachers discount on my account after I left, all the networks seem to be sucking lately with drop calls

As soon as I leave ATT I am ditching all their wireless. I am going with Cricket who has a far superior 5G network and is a fraction of the cost. Metro PCS and Mint Mobile are solid as well. I will do nothing to benefit Devil Stankey.

The best pricing for cellular hands down is MINT! I have my teens on their plans, rides the tmobile network . My youngest phone bill is $50 every 6 months! (I GOT a special deal at that moment) .y oldest teen is $82 after tax EVERY 3 MONTHS.

Given the way the Stinky treats his employees - I am ditching all Toxic-T services and not giving them another dime.

T-mobile with the over 55 Magenta Max plan, plus 5G home internet with AutoPay will include Netflix and be somewhere around $120/month with taxes and fees included.

As a retired AM from SBC -
I get my internet from Cox unadvertised "Essentials Package" $24.00
My cellular svc is Mint Mobile $15mo. per phone.
My TV is Sling $30 per mo - must pick svc & add ons if any.
My VOIP is OOMA - $5.56 per mo.

As a retiree there are NO DISCOUNTS even for us who were promised everything for free.
I just give the T the Finger & support the competition. Perhaps that is why T is losing.
