Let’s image 20% reduction is coming. How much would that save intel for 2023 physical year?

It’s not gonna fix the problem.
Not enough if they can't generate sales, which is highly unlikely given historical evidence.
If we assume that half of the company waste comes from marketing- the group referenced in press, Then by cutting 20% of the marketing team that contributes to that waste you not only save the headcount cost you save all the superfluous spending they do.
Assume the average cost of an intel engineer is 200K. Layoff 24,000 of them will save intel 4.8B a year. After layoff package cost, that would be around 3B. It looks like intel will do only 10% so around 1.5B.
