WF Internal Interview Tips

  1. Shamelessly self-aggrandize any and all non-verifiable experiences. For example, if you don't know Java, don't say you know Java, because that's easily verifiable. But loose, squishy things like implementing business processes is easily fudge-able.
  1. Never ask a question that tells the interviewing manager that you're not 100% willing to do literally anything they ask. For example, if you want to verify that the position doesn't require weekend work, find another way to verify this. You need to present yourself as a passive, willing, warm body that's perfectly happy to have a non-professional existence of task work.
  1. Do a Google search for situational questions. Fabricate grandiose answers, and then memorize them. During the interview, you simply recite from memory all those things that never actually happened, but will make you sound great to the interviewing manager.

That's a good start. I'm sure others on this board have more to add?

For your canned answers you don’t want to read them but you could have some notes nearby (assuming this interview is via Teams or Zoom) with key points you don’t want to forget.

I got lazy for a recruiter call and she actually asked me one of the situational questions. I was really thrown off. All my fault, but it can happen. I should have actually prepared better. Don't sleep on amy of the interviews

Recruiter interviews are all yes/no answers, with the possible exception of asking why you're interested in the role.

The recruiter called are easy - nothing to get nervous about.

The real interview is more nerve wracking because of all the canned answers you have to memorize in advance.
